Our painting yesterday was "Bluebell woodland with rustic barn" and this is my completed piece...
here's a couple of close ups
I know I can do a painting without tuition, but I think it's important to sometimes listen to how others go about their art and teaching. It makes us stop in our tracks and consider if we are becoming too 'inward thinking' with our art...after all most of us paint alone in our studios. I really think these Workshops revive the way we think.
Matthew also does online classes (no I'm not being sponsored by saying this)

Stunning. Makes me want to run across the fields
Thanks CJ, it was a good painting to do as it went back to wet-into-wet techniques, certainly for the top two-thirds of the painting.
Gorgeous!
I love this. I think it reminds me of somewhere I've been. :)
Thanks Christine :-)
Thanks Robin :-)
I agree with you...good to join in on some workshops!
This is a beautiful painting....the gorgeous foreground is very 'bluebell' ;
you should be very proud of this.

Thanks Sue, glad you like it :-)
A really gorgeous painting Ann, love the way you painted the leaves, and that field of lavender is superb !
Thanks Jane, all down to expert tuition ;)
The third photo is my favourite, absolutely beautiful. You talented lady, you :o)
love your landscape painting. so serene! i like taking workshops, too. it's just nice to meet other artists and I always pick up a new technique or idea to try.
That's a lovely picture, and I like the way you have shown the details by enlarging. The bluebells are a wonderful colour, both in your painting and in real life. It's ages since I saw a wood full of bluebells, they don't grow around here. The earliest spring woodland flowers here in Ontario are trillium.
That's a fantastic painting! Sarah x
Beautiful, Ann! It is great to have some tuition now and again, really inspiring!
great job on this Ann. I'm just now catching up on blogs - have been busy and no time to even draw. I love what you've done here - and that fish below - OMG...
Workshops are a great way to recharge and you always know something new. Nice result!
Thanks so much everyone for your comments here. Glad I shared this Workshop picture, looks to me like workshops are a hit, certainly was when I went to this one. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone :-)
