Oh, and by the way, I did pencil sketches with all of these and then painted them later...
But when it came to the view, I had to do a lot of recall....one thing this teaches you, is to Observe...the view went by so quick...
Yes, there really were Yellow fields....they are Oil seed rape, look so bright and colourful against the green fields and blue skies...
Barns and the line follows the river...
Stopping once for the train driver to get out, go to a box and set the railway crossing to stop cars whilst the train went by!....I know, very old fashioned but it happens ....nothing straightforward in deepest darkest Devon....as we had stopped for this I had time to sketch the station building..
That turned out to be a great journey rather than a boring one.

Wow, sketching the scenery from a moving train is not easy! Love the sketches! When I travel by train I notice everyone around me is busy communicating through smartphones, tablets etc. Nobody looks at the scenery anymore, except me.
Wow!
Made it fun sketching, I lost myself in my own little world, lol.
:-)
Wonderful sketches, nicely coloured in!
Great train sketches of the passengers and the scene. I sketched on the train in France once and found that I would sketch a bit of what I saw one moment and then a bit of what I saw the next. You did a good job!
Wonderful sketches! ♥♥♥♥♥
Really good way to spend time in a train, great sketches !
You have yellow fields already? The fields here are still grey and unproductive, we don't get the yellow colour of the crops for at least another couple of months.
I wonder if its an early crop...perhaps.
Nice job with the sketches. Fun way to make to pass the time. :)
...yes, it did pass the time but I could have done with the journey being longer really, I was enjoying myself sketching :-)
