A look back at old photos the other day...

...and I found this one of our daughter, back in the mid 90's  (to be honest I can't remember the exact year, but anyway it was a good photo to find).

We have a friend who is a professional Decorative Painter and highly skilled at her job.  Taking on many projects from gypsy caravans to the detailed work required in a stately home Katie B. Morgan happened to be restoring this bow top caravan in the photo, and I got to help her.   Oh, and the dog in the photo here, was Katie's lurcher named Megan.  Such a sweet dog, every time we saw her, even after months between, Megan would howl with delight to see us.  Now sadly over the rainbow bridge, but we still have fond memories.

This photo shows some of the work in progress on this wagon (vardo) - there was a lot to do.

Katie did an amazing job (sadly I didn't take photos of it at that time, you'll have to take my word for it) but it was a great Summer and I'm so glad I have this photo.

Great memories, Ann. The travellers' caravans are much more decorative than the Amish.

They are definitely decorative Marie, the patterns, colours and designs reflect something about them individually very often.

Lol...I'll tell her, I think at the time she wished she had properly brushed her hair.

She will love knowing that :)

What a very talented and creative daughter you have! I was looking at her work and reading her blog. Beautiful work and she seems to be very interested in travellers and how they live. She must get her artistic talent from her mum.

My daughter is the girl in the photo here. Katie B Morgan is the clever lady who does the painting on the wagons etc and I had the link to her blogs. Sorry to have confused you Shammickite :)

ooops I don't think I was reading carefully enough.

LOL...it's easily done. My husband gets confused when I explain something, so it was probably the way I had written the post ;)
