Ah lovely, caravans! That reminds me of when Anderton and Rowlands fair used to come to CM and set up in the Kiln car park. I was friendly with the Rowlands daughter and was often invited into her grandfather's caravan, just like the ones you passed on the road.

Yes, in all there were six of them. In groups of 3's though and a few miles apart - put together for the video of course ;)
That's a lovely memory to have. The fair still visits Ilfracombe at the tail end of the Summer.
Well, to be honest we thought the road was much too busy for them. I fear for the horses with stupid lorries and fast car drivers these days.
