I've been Bookbinding!

Not something I thought I'd actually do as a Course, but this came up on my Facebook recently mentioned by a friend locally - thought 'why not' and went along yesterday to:

facebook page:

Had a brilliant day and actually made this book...

from scratch - cut the paper, boards, binding etc and chose the cover paper, inset paper

The group of 8 students enjoyed the challenges of learning something like this from beginning to completion of their books.

Our tutor:

Mandy Flockton

Enjoyed the day so much that I may well book to do the

MIDORI TRAVELLER'S NOTEBOOK course sometime in the future.

( Very quick sketch whilst Mandy was paper cutting huge amounts of paper on a huge machine)

Well done Ann, I like the cover very much as I love squirrels :) Something different and I'm sure the day was very interesting.

Thanks Judy, I am quite proud of it. Although, I have to admit, it isn't completely symmetrical. I don't mind that though, at least I made it from scratch. Looking forward to going on another workshop day and make a traveller's journal.
