The 2018 Visitor season is upon us again here in Devon.
I have already been painting by the Lake at Arlington...
This week, the weather was "challenging"
and I ended up retreating into the Conservatory there,
but nonetheless I did get a "first wash on a large painting...to be completed in the studio"
and some sketches
I've named this seasons work at Arlington Court
“MY ART ESCAPE TO THE NATIONAL TRUST @ARLINGTONCOURT”
So here's to
art
and
painting

Thanks Christine 🙂
They are so lucky to have you as 'Artist in Residence'! You're going to go down in history with the likes of Beatrix Potter! ♥♥♥♥
I hope the weather improves, it's so unpredictable just now. A good title for this coming season and lovely sketches. Your painting by the lake is just wonderful, so atmospheric.
LOL....I'll have to start drawing animals wearing clothes then, wonder what sheep look like in pj's 🤣
Thanks Eileen, yes it was very unpredictable yesterday. Thankfully I didn't set-up all my art things, as it started to rain...and it was cold (oh well, it's only May!!!!).
You are so lucky to paint and sketch there, and they are lucky to have you!!!
Can't wait to see your sheep in pj's!!! :D (sheep in pj's and what they talk about as they drift off to sleep at night.....it would be different than what they talk about during the day when they think the dogs and herdsmen are listening. Do they complain about catching colds every year at shearing time?????) Oh the possibilities!!!
Don't get me started!!! lol......although, I reckon when they try to get to sleep they count people! 🤣
Thanks Judy, it's certainly special over there :)
Of COURSE they count people when trying to get to sleep...what else? LOL ;)
🤣
