Plein Air painting

From my plein air painting sessions at Arlington Court

I've now, finally, completed the Oil painting -

although I did the finishing touches in the studio,

so plein air for the most part.

Thanks Eileen.....it took a few hours work though. The thing with plein air painting, is the weather gets in the way ๐Ÿคฃ One day my painting got attacked by midges and another day it was soooo windy, I had to set the easel low enough so it wouldn't fall over!!! Oh the hardships of the artist ๐Ÿคฃ

Thanks Robin....think you've guessed I'm really enjoying oil painting. This style with thin layers of paint is fun, but I'm also enjoying the textured paintings with a palette knife. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks Judy....It definitely is a perfect place for painting, inspiration all around, I get spoiled for choice. ๐Ÿ™‚
