That's really lovely Ann!
I'm glad I clicked the link to Max Gate. Love Hardy's pet cemetery and his devotion to his dogs and cats. Hardy had a devoted terrier called Wessex known to bite visitors. I can imagine Wessex similar in temperament to the Welsh Terriers my parents kept when I was a child. I remember one running down the hall and through the front door deliberately to bite the postman on his ankle!
I'm sure that was a really interesting visit to Thomas Hardy's home.

Thanks so much one and all... Marie, Robin, Eileen and Sandy.....

Eileen... if ever you are in Dorset, this is a Must Visit. We also went to the cottage where Thomas Hardy was brought up (again it is National Trust). I might do a painting or two of that house too.

And
Robin...I can never imagine you having writers block! 😳🙃🤣
