Thanks Eileen, it was very nice to paint as we had walked along the roadway/driveway* next to the view - I think it imprints on memory and that makes the painting easier.
* roadway/driveway....streetview doesn't go along it, but it actually leads to Bull Point Lighthouse ...when you have gone beyond the gate, hopefully the link will work ↓

WOW! The painting is sooooo much better than the reference photo! It DOES look like you could step right into the painting and take off! Well done! :D
Thanks so much Robin....this painting is proof that actually 'being there' and 'seeing' that view made a huge difference to the eventual painting -reference photos alone are well and good but never a substitute. 🙂
