Palette knife

Recently picked up my palette knife and did a series of paintings.  Set aside to dry, so they are in various stages of work.  Here’s the first to be completed and as you see it is dramatic….the weather here can change rapidly, so storms are a part of life.  How could I not capture this!

I would love to know your thoughts.

You've definitely captured the storm rolling in, it's very good.

Thanks so much Eileen. The colours are lost a bit in the photo but the texture is true to the actual painting. I really enjoyed mixing lots of paint and applying with the palette knife, very satisfying. It is a different style to my usual, but I find it interesting to experiment like this, and I'll probably do some more - perhaps even combining my styles.

I'm loving your 'evolution' in styles! You can do it ALL! :D

Robin....Oh if only! but I enjoy giving different styles a go. Sometimes it depends on the subject, that makes me paint in a certain way, but other times it can be the difference between using a canvas or a panel. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป‍๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–Œ
