The clean up

I've posted before about other methods for cleaning the oil painting palette -  and here's another one, which actually I have found the most effective.

Here's a short video showing the process and what I use, just click the image below

I don't paint but when I first saw this photo, I thought it was an artsy photograph of autumn leaves on in or in ice.

It wasn't until I saw the video that I saw what it really is...and I never would have thought that white vinegar could clean dried paint off a slick surface so well.

It's so satisfying to scrape a palette clean, isn't it?(....or maybe it's just me..... :-/)

I use diluted white vinegar for cleaning windows and even the computer monitor, brilliant stuff and inexpensive. It does a perfect job on your oil paint palette.

Hi Joanne, how lovely of you to drop by my blog, and I hope the vinegar tip will help you one of these days 🙂

Robin....Oh, it isn't only you, I find it extremely satisfying - my ocd clean up gene is extremely happy happy happy 🤣

Eileen....so many useful ideas for white vinegar - when you think it cleans Oil (it must be strong), and people use it in their food too...makes you think doesn't it! 😳
