Several people asked what kind of tree it was, I wasn't sure, although I thought the leaves looked like sycamore, but several suggestions were made which left me wondering. So in order to put an end to speculation, I sent a message on Saltram via their facebook page. They were really great and went to the trouble of replying and answering that it is indeed Sycamore. Yay! at last I know for sure.

The group of trees at Saltram...
On one of our recent trips away, we stopped at Saltram House (I did blog about it here) and one particular photo I took, which I posted onto my Facebook timeline, was of this tree (or group of trees) you see they're all joined up in a line...
