Cool. We used to see them in So Cal along the beaches when the tide was out. I loved going along seeing cool things at that time. :)
A great find, it looks huge compared to the one we once found in Scotland. Sarah x
We get them washed up occasionally, particularly during the Summer, this was unusual so early in the year.
I like wandering along the beach too, surprising what the sea washes up :-)
It wasn't too big...probably about 6" across, I wasn't going to get too near it though (although I don't think it was still living, sadly).

I love Sea Stars. There is a great tidal pool at one of the Oregon beaches we go to and it is full of sea life when the tide is out. Fascinating and makes for great photos!

Thanks CJ, Christine, Wyatt's mum and Robin.....I love beach combing and end up coming home with shells...I have a thing about unusual shells, lol. (I left the starfish where he was though) :-)
