St. Helens Isle of Wight

 From countryside to seashore...

a short walk from where we stayed recently,
down to the Old Church at St. Helens

▲ that's an old fort out to sea on the horizon

then a walk back across an area known as the Duver -
made for a good afternoons stroll

William enjoyed his time on the beach too,
but then he always does.

We've been here before and I'm sure William remembered it!

There's nothing like a walk along the beach especially if you have the beach to yourself. That is one happy looking boy.

Gosh, it all looks lovely. I don't know the IOW well, but my (late) husband's family used to go to the same boarding house in Ryde every summer when he was a nipper.

Tell the truth....you choose the places you visit based on William's preferences, right? ;)

People seem to return time and time again once they discover the IOW. As a kid we had neighbours who went to the same place in Sandown every year :-)

Absolutely....the lad is a very important decision maker for us ;)

Lovely photo's Anne, and if that photo of the Sea Fort was taken from the beech, which I suspect it was, then I'm well impressed with your camera as well as your ability to use it. Nice shots, all of them. ;-)

Thank you very much John, yes you are right, the photo was taken from the beach. My camera is an Olympus SP-810UZ - 14 Megapixels.
