Judy, I wish I had asked someone now! This was at a National Trust property in Cornwall :)
You should write (or email) the Cornish NT property where you saw this flowering shrub and ask what it is. They will be only too pleased to tell you. Then you can tell us!
I did consider doing that actually Shammickite. In fact I did that once asking about some trees at Saltram, AND they came back to me with an answer. I’ll get onto the Cornish NT and ask about the plant 🙂
