Visiting National Trust properties always gives me lots of opportunities for Painting Reference Photos, and Knightshayes was no exception.

Lots of juicy paint showing on this one. I'm still struggling with inspiration for some reason, lots of things going on in my life right now.

Thanks Judy, there are quite a number of interior paintings/artists working on this sort of thing at the moment. Their inspiration fires me up to do my own versions. :)

Thanks Shammickite, I love applying the thick paint with a palette knife, it's lovely seeing the process and being part of it. If you are busy at the moment, then it is difficult to focus on inspiration. In fact inspiration needs to jump out at you, it will when you least expect it. Don't know if I have mentioned this before to you, but have you read Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert? Worth a read if you haven't seen it. (sorry if I have repeated this having already said about it to you).
