I still sketch

Although I'm very into Oil painting these days, I do still Sketch.  The other day I picked up the dip-pen and bottle of ink and basically doodled...then the Kelpies appeared

I've sketched these before (you may remember them)

but there is just something about the Lines and Shapes that is so tempting to draw.

Here's a link about the Kelpies ⬅️

There's nothing like the scritchy scratch sound of a dip pen on paper! I think, sometimes, it's the sound rather than the look that I like! {I admire (and maybe envy just a little.....)your ability to use minimal lines to convey such emotion.} :D

I hadn't heard of the Kelpies before and I can see why you like to sketch them.

Robin...and it’s seeing the ink draw the lines, it’s much more fun than a biro. The Kelpies are just Shapes in the end, but I guess loving horses helps and these structures look wonderful :)

Eileen...hope to see these Kelpies for real one day, they look amazing :)

I visited the Kelpies in 2018.... WOW! What an amazing place. They are HUGE! I took lots of photos, I was so impressed. I believe you can go inside, but there just wasn't enough time for me to do that.... was on a coach tour.
